We had 19 volunteers today and all were happy to be working in cooler weather. Homeowner Al Biscardi worked today on his home, #63, and he was joined by homeowners Martin Perez and Rosa Cabrera, who will be moving into home #64. Marnye Dickerson joined us for lunch after attending the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class. Marnye, who will be receiving house #65, stayed and worked after lunch. First time volunteer David Reed joined us after lunch to work for his friend Al Biscardi.
We were few in numbers, but we accomplished a lot:
Finished all interior walls
Completed the porch header
Put up most of the sheathing
Marked the top plates
We were rewarded for our efforts with a great lunch provided by Barbara Clark’s Agape Bible Study Group from Action Baptist Church. We enjoyed sub sandwiches, chips and chocolate brownies. Barbara shared a praise with us. Helping serve lunch today was Connie Hanson. Connie has been on our prayer list for much of the last year. We were all happy to see her back at Habitat.
