Construction Report for Saturday, November 17, 2012

What a beautiful day . . . in multiple ways!!  Thank you to all the volunteers and families who worked today – we accomplished many tasks to finalize House 63, and continued to work on Houses 64 and 65, as well as future house lots, too!

After a delicious lunch, provided by Emmanuel Lutheran Church, we dedicated House 63 to Al Biscardi and his daughter, Alissa.  Al expressed his deep gratitude and told of God’s blessings to him over recent years, which included his Habitat for Humanity family.

We extend sincere thanks to the volunteers from Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  Forty (40) of us enjoyed the delicious lasagna, salad, and brownies they provided for lunch today.  Yum!!

Thank you also goes to the volunteers who assembled the Habitat newsletter on Friday!  Thank you, Nita, for your organization of our newsletter!!  In case you didn't know . . . our Habitat for Humanity affiliate is an all-volunteer organization - we have no paid staff.  During this Thanksgiving season, we want to say "Thank You" to the many volunteers and businesses who donate your time and money to the Habitat mission - we exist because of You!  Happy Thanksgiving!!

Team up with Community Bank and donate to Habitat for Humanity of Hood County between November 15, 2012 through January 31, 2013 during the annual matching funds campaign.  Community Bank will match your gift up to $1,500.  Stop by a Community Bank lobby or mail your check to:  Habitat for Humanity of Hood County, P.O. Box 1866, Granbury, TX  76048.  This is our once a year fundraiser!

Congratulations Al and Alissa!!
