#115 4004 Sundown Trail
21 volunteers (plus 4 office workers and 2 lunch people) worked on 4002 and 4004. On Chuy & Deysi’s home (4002) we continued siding getting the siding high enough to get the top out plumbing started, and to install the outside HVAC lines. Speaking of HVAC, Jeryl and Henry spent the day in the attic making the ventilation system come alive.
On Jose & Sierra’s home (4004), we squared the walls, sheathed them, and marked top plate for joist and rafter locations. We also installed the porch header built quickly and correctly by a great team lead by John and David. I didn’ t intend to leave out the names of all the other wonderful leaders and followers, like Jim, Molly, Cindy, Becky, Bob, Pat, Paul, Ronald, (I see what I started, what about Roger, Rick, Thomas? You just can’t name them all, I left off some of the best, like Larry and whats his/her name, oh well).
Everybody worked hard and well. Great volunteers. Lunch was provided by 1st United Methodist Church. It enabled us to work a long day.
Larry’s wife Sharon is recovering after a rough couple of days. Walt looks good, was able to spend the day with us. Prayers continued for Rafael, Kirk, Pete, Jim is better, Lee’s wife’s family member passed, Patsy is getting better, we are all thankful for what God is doing for us and our prayer concerns.
Please go to the Friday fish fries at St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. 5:00-7:00 during Lent. Also, Julio and Hannah Gamez (Habitat home owners) now have a food truck - El Taco T - at Warren’s Back Yard, and invite you to come out (you can get details and directions from Julio 817-243-8312).
Paul and Roger will head up Saturday’s work day. Ronald is heading out to requalify, and Richard, Steve, and Byron are recruiting volunteers at Man Camp.
