20 construction volunteers worked on Senlly's home (she was at home with a sick child) and Erik & Brittany's home. We cut and marked plate and made an address sign for 4008. On 4006, we installed doors, trim and shelves, roofed and painted the shed, and spread dirt along the fence line.
Lunch was provided by Lakeside Baptist Church.
We had a special visit from 2 healing volunteers, EJ and Ed (both looked great). During lunch, we had a mortgage note burning by Christy Barclay and her grandson Justin. Wow, has it been 20 years?
After lunch, Father Fernando Preciado of St. Frances Cabrini Church dedicated the home of Jose and Sierra Arriaga and their children Nevaeh, Isabella, Maya and Jose Jr. There were presentations from Waples United Methodist Church, Habitat Quilting Bee, Lakeside Baptist Church, Magnolia Realty, Master Gardners and Premier Homes. Pat donated a beautiful picnic table to the family. The family responded with a heartfelt thank you to everyone.
Our work day prayers went out to all (please see prayer concern list). An update on Wade - he should know about possible treatment around the first of the month - keep praying.
