#117 4008 Sundown Trail

20 construction and 2 lunch volunteers worked like crazy on Erik & Brittany’s home at 4008 Sundown Trail. The weather was beautiful. We were able to clear the masking from the home because the paint team spent Friday spraying. Thank you for putting in the extra effort to keep us moving forward. The same type of appreciation is extended to our flooring group that is installing luxury vinyl. These specialized groups do great work during additional work days. They are all made up of our regular volunteers that have a special interest, or talent, and desire to spend some extra time working on a home. These groups are open to any volunteers, just let me know.

Today, we moved trailers, lumber, and form boards. We installed closet supports and shelving. We also painted base boards and shelves. Lunch was cooked by the Holy Smokers Group from Lakeside Baptist Church. What a wonderful steak/sausage lunch. We almost didn’t get anyone back to work in the afternoon, everyone was ready for a nap. Nice job Holy Smokers.

Prayers were said for Chris (Byron’s wife), our Habitat families, Ruby, and many more. Thanks for remembering all the people in need.

Have you been to this year’s fish fry at St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church? It occurs ever Friday at 5:00PM-7:00PM during lent. They are kind enough to share proceeds with local non-profits (including Habitat), and the dinner is great.
