Construction Report for Wednesday, May 9, 2012

Wonderful weather for our 30 volunteers, working to complete Rosa's house.
Rosa was there along with a new volunteer, that actually started Saturday, but anyway, welcome to Eric!
  • Some trim installed.
  • Shed moved and almost finished.
  • Caulking and priming inside.
  • Doors came at 1pm, so a small group jumped in to install.
  • Mail box numbers and flags are on.
  • Green team whacking away/cutting/digging & hauling...what a job!
We had another picnic today with the F.B.C. Women from 1st Baptist on Hwy 51 doing the honors.  There was a nice variety of Sandwiches, Potato Chips and  Yummy Cookies.  Thank You, F.B.C. Women, we do appreciate you.

Catching up a little from last Saturday - there were 20 workers on site.  Quicksilver had the following nine volunteers: Ryann, Andrew, V.J., Stephen, Sherrie, Kevin, Angel, Jim, and Glenn.  We had two new workers: Eric, (who is now grad of Purdue and a pilot for Continental Express, he volunteered when he was in high school last), and Juanita.  The Granbury Church of Christ furnished the delightful meal of turkey sandwiches, chips and cookies.  Thank you Scott & Carissa and thank you for your helpers.
