23 volunteers (including 1 home owner and 3 office workers) worked on both homes today. One group went to Kendra’s home, and did a major clean up from all the construction that had been going on. They also touched up paint, hauled trash, fixed hardware and light fixtures, planted grass seed, raked, assembled a lawn mower, loaded the shed, and got the home ready for dedication on Saturday, 9/17/22 at 12:30 (3414 Trailwood Ct).
The other group worked on Jimmy & Maria’s home. They built and installed the porch header, nailed down base plates, sheathed the walls, cut out windows and doors, blocked the bath for hand rails, and set up our temporary electric power. United COOP came by and hooked us up. Thanks Thomas & UCS crew.
An out standing lunch was provided by Pastor Danny Flowers and a great group from Seventh Day Adventist Church.
