26 Volunteers (including 11 Homeowners, 1 office worker, and 3 lunch helpers) finished sheathing Jimmy & Maria’s home, string lined the walls, braced them in place, wrapped the house, blocked the tub, installed a couple of windows, marked stud locations, and pinpointed center starting marks for the roof components. Part of the group cleaned Kendra’s home in preparation for the dedication. Lunch was provided by Lynn Brawner’s Sunday School Class from Granbury 1st United Methodist Church. It was well appreciated after a hot, hard morning of work.
Kendra’s dedication was well attended by family and friends, volunteers, businesses, representatives from groups and clubs that support Habitat families, and a neighborhood dog. A special gift was given to Kendra’s family by David Davis of Mattressville in Granbury (3 new mattresses and 3 new box springs). Other great gifts were given by our regular groups, and we thank them for their continued support.
